The movie is about the happenings in a house, which is situated at a place called ‘Purple Lake’. The flick tells the saga of Mrs. Anjini Dutt (Nausheen Ali Sardar), who is a married woman and a teacher of violin. She runs her house on whatsoever she earns. Rajeev Dutt (Akshay Kapoor) has not been able to earn so he lives on his wife’s money. This frustrates him and gets him angry all the time. The frustration becomes visible in their relationship, as he pushes his wife away every time she comes near him. This he does due to the ego that has been growing in him over the years. Eventually he gathers the courage to ask her better half to sell the house so that he can use the money in investing in some business. Listening this, she becomes angry because this house is the only connection to her parents who have passed away. Nonetheless she helps her husband by giving on portion on rent so that Rajeev can use the rented money for his business. Sanjay (Asish Chowdhary) is the tenant. Slowly he starts reading the tension between the couple. He sympathizes with her. Sanjay’s sympathies ignite love inside her. Since she has been missing love in her relationship, she immediately falls in love with Sanjay. The questions arise in mind: Does Sanjay really love her or is it some kind of a plan? Has Mrs. Dutt made a mistake by falling in love with Sanjay? Will she have to pay for it with her house…or even her life?
