Nasze przygody w Forsaken Gods rzucają nowe światło na wydarzenia znane z podstawowej wersji gry i odpowiadają na wiele pytań po dziś dzień nurtujących fanów serii. Na swej drodze nasz heros spotyka więc wielu przyjaciół i wrogów znanych ze scenariusza podstawki, warto jednak zauważyć, iż nie wszystkie przyjaźnie i znajomości oparły się próbie czasu, zachowując się w niezmienionej postaci do dnia dzisiejszego. Powinniśmy więc ostrożnie podchodzić do relacji z bohaterami niezależnymi i czujnie przyglądać się zachowaniom postaci drugoplanowych, by nie zostać nieprzyjemnie zaskoczonym w najmniej oczekiwanym momencie.
Firma JoWooD dopilnowała tym razem, by program w możliwie największym stopniu spełniał oczekiwania graczy i postawiła na bliską interakcję ze społecznością fanowską. W efekcie omawiany tytuł zawiera wiele poprawek i ulepszeń, które najczęściej postulowali użytkownicy trzeciej części popularnego Gothica.
