Need for Speed: Undercover to dwunasta odsłona serii gier wyścigowych od Electronic Arts. Produkcja przygotowana przez kanadyjski oddział firmy zrywa z ideą legalnych, torowych wyścigów, którymi uraczono klientów w ProStreet i przenosi fanów szybkiej jazdy z powrotem do podziemia. Wśród osób przewijających się na ekranie wystąpiła m.in. piosenkarka Christina Milian, która wcieliła się w postać pięknej Carmen.

Programiści z Vancouver zadbali też o dostarczenie graczom odpowiedniej liczby aut znanych marek, przeznaczonych do jazdy z zabójczą prędkością i podatnych na tuning – zarówno optyczny, jak i mechaniczny.
