In different areas of the world different video standards are used for broadcasting TV signals. The most common ones are NTSC and PAL. The main difference between them is the way the color information is encoded, but they also have different line resolutions and frame rates. When taking a simplified view a NTSC signal has 60 frames per second with 262 lines each, PAL has 50 frames with 312 lines each. It is a bit more complicated in reality, because normal TV broadcast is interlaced, only half of the picture is drawn at once, half of the lines are black and filled in by the next field. To differentiate between them one of the fields is one line longer than the other and a full frame of two fields has 525/625 lines. But, basically NTSC, short for National Television Standards Committee, is a format which the United States favors. And PAL, or Phase Alternating Line, is a format favored by Europe, Australia and parts of Asia.

| Re: Games for PS2 (Daily Updated) Hi.. Nice thread and forum. I'm interested in PS2 Pal single CD games and can also accept PS1 Pal games. Plus, in this thread, please be kind enough to add the name of the games in the game details becuase what I see is an image of the game followed by information about game but mostly, game name isn't included. Now sometimes, we don't see the picture (in my country, Imageshack site is banned so I can't view images hosted at ImageShack.us). So it becomes harder to know what game links are shared etc. Please give game information like shown below: Game Details: Game Name: Tekken Tag Tournament Product Details Genre Fighting Style 3D Fighting Platform PlayStation 2 Region: Pal ISO Size (in mega bytes): Or Single CD / DVD etc.. Release Date xxxx-xx-xx Thanks. P.S. I need PAL ISOs of Tenchu 1 and Tenchu 2 please. And if there is a thread here for Single CD PS2 Pal games, please let me know. Thanks again. |
